Mechanical thermophysical
We possess extensive experience in mechanical testing and thermophysical measurement and operate in state-of-the-art laboratories in almost 2000 square metres of space.
The scope of our activities in mechanical testing includes taking samples, the manufacture of test specimens and mechanical testing across a wide range of temperatures, loads and speeds, and testing in various, often extreme, environments.
Thermophysical measurement is another of our important fields of interest. It provides data which is crucial to computational models and materials characterization.
With the use of computer modelling and engineering design methods, we are able to develop and manufacture special fixtures for extremely demanding tests according to client specifications.
Our testing laboratories offer the following services:
- Static and dynamic tests (tensile, compressive and bending tests), up to the speed of 25 m/s
- Dynamic measurement of Young’s modulus
- High-cycle and low-cycle fatigue testing
- Short-time creep testing
- Tests on miniature specimens (micro-tensile test and small-punch test)
- Tests under torsional and biaxial loading
- Determination of the transition temperature
- Fracture toughness testing
- Forming limit curves (FLC and FLD diagrams)

- Construction of CCT and TTT diagrams
- Measurement of thermal conductivity and expansion of materials
